Gerhard Lindauer, Ph.D.

Adviser to the Energy Authority of Mongolia

Dr. Gerhard Lindeauer studies economics, geography and sociology. He earned his post-graduate diploma at the German Development Institute in 1966. He was an assistant lecturer at the Institute of Socioeconomics, Stuttgart University between 1966-1971.

Since 1972, Gerhard was a teamleader in various development projects: he financed i.a. on behalf of the German Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development through GIZ and KfW and FAO, UNHCR/WFP, UNIDO, World Bank and private investors.

Gerhard’s geographical focus areas above-all included all of Africa and parts of East Asia (Afghanistan, India, Indonesia and Mongolia).

Currently, Gerhard acts as adviser to the Energy Authority of Mongolia on supply-side energy efficiency.
