UN Events
As an organization involved with the efforts of the United Nations, NGO Sustainability hosts, attends and reports on meetings and events at the UN relevant to renewable energy, economic, environmental and social development, as well as climate change and women’s empowerment.
Roma Stibravy, along with our interns have been able to attend many exciting and interesting events at the UN such as the Security Council’s recent Open Debate on the “Maintenance of International Peace and Security: the Impact of Climate Change.”
The UN Global Compact Council invited our President, Roma Stibravy, to participate in the Renewables Roundtable at the 2011 UN Private Sector Forum: Sustainability For All.
We also host our own meetings and events at the UN such as “Understanding the Energy Trap for Policymakers” and “S.T.A.R. Island: Making Green A Reality”. Through sponsorship from Missions to the UN, NGO Sustainability hosted several important presentations and discussions since 2003.
To further raise awareness, we write and submit reports of these events to share with our Partners, Members, and friends. The reports help others develop a deeper understanding and provide insight into what is happening at the UN to help achieve a sustainable planet. The reports are widely distributed through our mailing list and online.
If you would like to receive notices of upcoming events or receive our reports, you may email us at ngosustainability@gmail.com. Please include your name and contact information and what you are requesting. You can also become a member and support our efforts in addition to receiving information.
